September 14, 1949 -- October 17, 2014

     Robert Kenneth Tupper, age 65, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan with his family by his side.  Bob was born on September 14, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan the son of Kenneth James and Isabella ‘Izzy’ Mae (Husted) Tupper.  On July 9, 1971, he married Patricia Blanche Lootens in Mt. Pleasant.

     Bob was retired from Alma College where he worked in the maintenance department for ten years.  He enjoyed motorcycling, playing guitar, and woodworking.  His biggest passion was his grandchildren.  Bob was a veteran of both the US Navy and the US Army.

    Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia; 3 children, Aimee and Steven Bles of Mt. Pleasant, Aaron and Samantha Tupper of Alma, and Kari and Ryan Bigard of Shepherd; six grandchildren, Courtney, Tyler, Emily, Jordan, Haley, and Korbin; two brothers, Steven and Cathy Tupper of Shepherd and Neil and Tina Tupper of Holt; along with many in-laws, nieces and nephews and friends.  He was preceded in death by both parents and an infant brother, Thomas.

     Funeral services celebrating Bob’s life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the Rowley Funeral Home with Pastor Wally Hostetter of the Mt. Pleasant Community Church officiating.  Following the funeral service, interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery near Rosebush.  Memorial contributions in Bob’s memory have been asked to assist the family with funeral expenses and may be made out to the Rowley Funeral Home and dropped off or mailed to the funeral home.
